Fiona Onasanya charged with perverting the course of justice
In July 2018, Fiona Onasanya was charged by Cambridgeshire Police with perverting the course of justice. She appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 12 July 2018 and is due to return on 13 August 2018. She allegedly lied about who was behind a speeding vehicle.
The first count alleges that Fiona Onasanya and her brother, Festus Onasanya sought to pervert the course of justice by saying a car ticketed by police for speeding on 24 July 2017, when she was behind the wheel had been driven by someone else, enabling the then newly elected MP to avoid punishment.
The second charge is the same but relates to an allegation that the pair sought to blame someone else for a speeding offence committed by Festus Onasanya on 23 August 2017.
The 34-year-old has expressed interest in being the first black female Britain Prime Minister. She is of Nigerian ancestry.

The fuss about Fiona Onasanya is ridiculous, if true it's only speeding and telling a white lie.
Concentrate on the Tories starving our children with Austerity, robbing our disabled and deporting British citizens
