Jenny Motkaluk Early Life and Education
Jenny Motkaluk spent the early part of her life growing up in a home in the North End’s Luxton neighborhood, on Matheson Avenue east of Main Street. Unfortunately while in Grade 5, her mother walked out the door, leaving her father, Ed Motkaluk, with their eight children. The family grew up in challenging circumstances due to poverty. Her father eventually moved the family to St. Vital. J. Jenny has four brothers and three sisters. The known siblings are, her 3 brothers Rob, Greg, and Cory and her sister Twyla Motkaluk. Jenny says her siblings remain close because they had to rely on each other while the family was impoverished.
Jenny went to school at Immaculate Heart. At the end of Grade 5, she skipped grade 6, She achieved an Early Final Acceptance to McGill University at age 15 and graduated High School at age 16. She went on to McGill to study science and DNA. She eventually graduated from UBC in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Molecular.

Jenny is a decisive manager with a record of results in business and community leadership. He earned a BSc in Molecular Biology from the University of British Columbia. She has worked for over a decade in senior business development positions in the biotechnology and IT sectors.
Through her career traveled back and forth across Western Canada from Victoria to Winnipeg covering that territory for companies like Fisher Scientific, Pall Corporation, QIAGEN, SAP Business Objects and she was Vice-President Sales for 5x Technology.
