Nyiko Floyd Shivambu was born on 1st January, 1983. He is a South African politician serving as a member of parliament for the Economic Freedom Fighters party. He was born in Malamulele, Limpopo in South Africa

Floyd Shivambu Early life

Floyd Shivambu wasborn in the provincial town of Mahonisi, Malamulele locale of Limpopo area South Africa and was one of seven children in his family. Because of the poverty he experienced a childhood in a house without running water or power. His folks earned a living as casual brokers offering hand made duvets and pillowcases in adjacent towns.

Shivambu moved on from the Mphambo High School in Malamulele in 2001, and went ahead to learn at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg at first expecting to concentrate to wind up a technician. He changed scholastic concentration and rather earned a four year certification and additionally a Honors Degree in Political Studies and International Relations. Shivambu went ahead to graduated with a graduate degree, with unique excellence, in political student elections 2004 in his third year at the University of the Witwatersrand Shivambu was chosen leader of the college’s Student Representative Body and joined the African National Congress Youth League.

Since their days in the ANC Youth League, Shivambu and Julius Malema,  Member of Parliament and the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters, have showed up as close political partners. Following their suspension from the ANC, Shivambu helped to establish the EFF, close by Malema. He co-altered a book about Malema, titled The Coming Revolution.


Floyd Shivambu Controversies

In 2011, Shivambu was expelled from his position as ANC Youth League spokesperson by an ANC disciplinary hearing, after he swore at a journalist, and in the wake of influencing remarks about helping to bring a regime change in Botswana. On 20 March 2018, Shivambu was caught on tape assaulting a columnist outside Parliament.

Shivambu was reprimanded for requesting to know why treasury official Ismail Momoniat, who is of South African Indian family, was showing so frequently to parliament rather than a black South African treasury official. Expressing that Momoniat’s quality “undermines African initiative”. This prompt far reaching judgment of Shivambu by different government officials and one internet based life for both questing Momoniat’s part in the counter politically-sanctioned racial segregation development and for being racially preferential.
