Dorothy Walker Bush was in Harris County, Texas in the US. George H. W. Bush, her father, served as the 41st President of the United States while Barbara Bush, her mother, was the First Lady. Dorothy Walker was named after her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Walker Bush. George W. Bush, her brother, was the 43rd President of the United States assuming office after Bill Clinton in 2001. Dorothy Bush’s other four siblings are Pauline Robinson Bush (died of leukemia in 1953); former Florida governor Jeb Bush; Neil Bush; and Marvin Bush. As from her early age, she would spend summers and holidays at the Bush compound, a sprawling estate in Kennebunkport, Maine.
Dorothy Bush went to school at Miss Porter’s School, a private all-girl college-preparatory school in Farmington, Connecticut in the US.
During a visit to Beijing in 1975, she became the first individual to be publicly baptized in the Republic of China since the government began discouraging foreign religious practices in 1949.
In 1982, Dorothy Bush earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Boston College.

Dorothy Bush works as an event organizer and fundraiser for nonprofit and charitable organizations. She is also the co-chair of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy along with her brother Jeb Bush. Dorothy Bush has also served as a pioneer fundraiser for her brother’s presidential campaigns.
Dorothy Bush is the author of the book My Father, My President An Account of the Life of George H. W. Bush which was published in 2006.
She was also the sponsor of the commission of USS George H.W. Bush, her father’s namesake. On 10th January 2009, she issued the first orders to the ship’s company at Norfolk, Virginia.

Dorothy Bush was married to William Heekin LeBlond (born on 11th January 1957) as from 1982 until their divorce in 1990. The couple had two children, Samuel Bush (born in 1984) and Nancy Ellis (born in 1986).
Her second marriage was with Robert P. Koch (born in 1960) as from June 1992, Their wedding took place at Camp David, a country retreat for the President of the United States. The couple have two children, Robert David (born in 1993) and Georgia Grace (born in 1996). Robert P. Koch worked as an aide to House Democratic leader Richard Gephardt. He is a lobbyist and president of the Wine Institute. Robert P. Koch has a substantial equity interest in Central European Distribution Corp., a company renowned for the manufacturing and distribution of vodka in Poland.
