Jd McCrary Career

McCrary began his acting at a tender age of 8 in 2015 on K.C. Undercover, where he appeared on two episodes. In 2016, he made a guest appearance on Childish Gambino’s song “Terrified”. He later appeared on I’m Dying Up Here and Teachers as minor roles in 2017. McCrary had live performances on Little Big Shots singing The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back,” The Ellen Show singing “Who’s Loving You,” and the 60th Annual Grammy Awards to support Childish Gambino’s “Terrified.

McCrary stars in The Paynes on the Oprah Winfrey Network. McCrary officially joined the Disney/Hollywood Records.

JD was born to his parents James West McCrary (father) and Larisa McCrary (mother). He also has a younger brother Josh McCrary as his sibling. JD often talks about his family on social media accounts. On 28 November 2016, JD shared a photo of him alongside with his grandmother Lisa and great-grandmother Liz, who hails from Puerto Rico, Mexico. His Social media accounts are however managed by his mother.

Jd McCrary Vital Signs

McCrary also acted as the young Dr. Dre on Apple’s since discontinued Vital Signs.  The six-episode limited series that stared Dre. Dre was also set to executive produce the show, which would be vaguely autobiographical. The series was discontinued because it featured possibly-objectionable material like “characters doing lines of cocaine, an extended orgy in a mansion, and drawn guns.”

Jd McCrary The Lion King (2019)

The Lion King is an upcoming American animation drama film directed by Jon Favreau, produced by Walt Disney Pictures, and written by Jeff Nathanson. It is a remake of Disney’s traditionally animated 1994 film of the same name.

McCrary will provide the voice of Young Simba in the Disney film The Lion King in 2019.

The other film stars the voices of Donald Glover, Beyoncé, James Earl Jones, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, John Kani, John Oliver, and Alfre Woodard.

On 22nd November 2018, Disney broadcast the first teaser trailer during the annual Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving day game. Following the premiere, the trailer was uploaded online

In an interview with Vibe magazine, McCrary cited Michael Jackson as his biggest influence, as well as Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, and Chris Brown.
