Tyler Deon Honeycutt was born on 15 July 1990 and died on 7 July 2018 through suicide after a firing a shot at the police in his apartment. He was an American professional basketball player for Khimki of the VTB United League and the EuroLeague. He started playing college basketball for the UCLA Bruins men’s basketball in 2009. He played for two seasons at UCLA before being drafted by the Sacramento Kings in the second round of the 2011 NBA draft. He was traded to the Houston Rockets in 2013, but never played for them; Houston assigned him to the Vipers before waiving him.

Tyler Honeycutt Fires a gun at police

Khimki Moscow forward Tyler Honeycutt was purportedly a suspect of shooting a gun at police in LRiverside Drive and Tyrone Avenue at Sherman Oaks of Los Angeles, USA. The former NBA  and UCLA basketball player barricaded himself inside a Sherman Oaks residence after firing a gun at police on 6 May 2018, 5 p.m. on Friday. Authorities got a telephone call from the man’s mom, who said her child was acting erratically. When the officers arrived, he opened fire at the officers who returned fire.The authorities confirmed that No officers were harmed in the shooting.

Tyler Honeycutt Death / Suicide

Tyler Honeycutt was found dead after a standoff with Los Angeles police on 7 June 2018.

Bort Escoto, who coached Honeycutt at Sylmar High School, tells the Los Angeles Times the player’s mother called him early Saturday and said her son took his own life.

The Los Angeles Police Department says it responded Friday( 7 june 2018) afternoon to a report of a man with a gun, Tyler’s mother is the one who allegedly called the police following his son’s erratic behavior. During the initial encounter, the suspect fired a shot out of a residence and officers returned fire.

Crisis negotiators were called, and a SWAT team finally found an unresponsive man who was pronounced dead by paramedics.

The department, which did not identify the man, says he appears to have died of a self-inflicted gunshot.
