Yara Sayeh Shahidi was  born on February 10, 2000. She is an American actress and model. She is best known for starring as Zoey Johnson on the sitcom Black-ish and its spin-off series Grown-ish

Yara Shahidi Early life

Shahidi was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to a mother, Keri Salter Shahidi, of an African-American and Choctaw descendant, and an Iranian-American father, Afshin Shahidi, a professional photographer. The family moved to California for Afshin’s work when Yara was 4. She is the elder sister of youngster on-screen character and model Sayeed Shahidi, and they have a more youthful sibling, Ehsan. The rapper Nas is their cousin. Keri Shahidi said the name Yara means “somebody who can accomplish something, or somebody is so solid and smart to accomplish something hard” in the Persian dialect.

Yara Shahidi Acting Profession

She started her profession when she was 6 years of age, showing up in TV and print ads for organizations, for example, McDonald’s, Ralph Lauren, Target, GapKids, Disney, Guess Kids and The Children’s Place. She habitually worked with her mom and more youthful sibling in different print and modeling.

Shahidi made her movie debut in 2009, featuring Eddie Murphy in Paramount Pictures’ Imagine That, for which she got a Young Artist Award designation for the best execution in a component film classification. In 2012, she played Chloe Johnson, the girl of President William Johnson, in the TV arrangement The First Family.

In September 2014, Shahidi featured in ABC’s prime-time comic drama Black-ish as 14-year-old Zoey Johnson. In December 2014 she won an NAACP Image Award in the classification of ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy.’

In 2016, she marked to show with New York’s Women Management displaying office, with expectations of giving a stage to see more ladies of shading in different parts.

ABC reported in 2017 that Shahidi would feature a Black-ish spinoff, titled Grown-ish, on its sister arrange Freeform. The TV show debuted on January 3, 2018.

Yara Shahidi Harvard

Yara Shahidi will be joining  Harvard this year, 2018. Shahidi was apparently accepted at every college she applied and had to make a difficult choice on her next phase of Education in college. The decision was quite obvious since Michelle Obama her mentor and former Havard alumna had written her recommendation later. Yara will be joined by Malia Obama this fall after she also exhausted her one year gap.
